The snapper

The chaotically happy life of the Curley family is disrupted when Sharon, the eldest daughter, suddenly announces she is pregnant. She refuses to reveal the identity of the father. In the pub she tells her friends that the father is an unknown Spanish sailor, but whether that is the truth or not, the gossip and threats from the neighbours are sure to follow. The family tries, each in its own way, to cope with the unexpected pregnancy.
