Monsieur Batignole

Paris, summer 1942: France is occupied by the Germans.
The butcher Edmond unwittingly arranges for the deportation of his Jewish neighbors.
Unexpectedly, the neighbors' son shows up at the door of his parents' house where Edmond and his family have moved in. Out of guilt and to avoid problems with the Germans, he decided to let the boy go into hiding. Soon two more orphaned nieces follow.
However, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep the children hidden from his family, his fascist son-in-law and Colonel Spreich.
Edmond becomes increasingly fond of the children and decides to help them flee to Switzerland. But then the problems really begin....
