Cal

Cal McClusky is 19 years old and lives with his father Shamie in a Protestant neighborhood, although they themselves are Catholic. They have become used to the violence between Protestants and Catholics. Cal is even a member of the IRA, but when he wants to leave, it turns out to be impossible.
When Marcella, a Catholic widow who was married to a Protestant, comes into his life, it gives him the courage to change his life. Conversely, Cal helps Marcella out of her isolation. Fate seems to lend a hand when Cal is offered a job by Marcella's mother-in-law and is allowed to live with them.
Then it turns out that the past won't leave them alone...
